Welcome to sixth grade Language Arts!
As we enter the world of Language Arts I would encourage you take advantage of the many opportunities we have for both you and your child to get involved in reading and the wonderful joys it has to offer. Our goal is to provide students with rich experiences in reading and writing and encourage them to use the tools they have to be successful in and out of the classroom here at Waterville Junior High School.
This class has been structured around class expectations. Students are expected to come to class prepared and participate to the best of their ability in both reading and discussion about what they have read. There will be a number of opportunities to write creatively and also the opportunity for kids to share what they have written with classmates. Students are expected to get involved and have fun! Language Arts has lots to offer when kids get excited about the world of reading and writing!
